It has… Personality - Washington Car Shows
By Dwayne Goerges of www.washingtoncarshows.com
It has… Personality Car Shows. Washington has plenty of them, if you don’t believe me, you can check out some of the car show calendars like WashingtonCarShows.com. Sometimes we are just looking for a local car show that’s not too big, maybe 100 cars. You know something close by, half-hour maybe an hour to drive there. Something that is good for a couple hours on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Other times we look for the big ones. The exhibits. The ones that cost to get in, that have hundreds of cars and thousands of visitors. You could spend a whole weekend there and not even see all the cars. They are jam-packed with entertainment, venders and plenty of junk food. Something Different Then, there are sometimes when we aren’t looking for the biggest or the closest. We are looking for the car show that is different, original, it has… personality. Sure, just about everyone like fine tuned classic cars that have hundreds of hours put into them, a ten thousand dollar paint jobs and a roaring engine, but sometimes we are looking for something that is a little off the beaten path. You will happy to know that there are plenty of the more unique car shows out there, many of them right here within Washington state. Tractors..? One of them is the Winthrop Auto Rallye. At first glance it may seem like any other car show. Classic cars, modified cars and great paint jobs, but look a little closer and you will find something a little more unique. This car show also has Tractor Category. That’s right a tractor category. You may be thinking, I don’t go to a car show to see tractors. While that may be true, we are not talking about modern day tractors, we are talking about antique tractors. We are talking about something different, original, something personality. Yes, If you are looking for something with a personality a antique tractor has plenty of it. You see the age, the changes it society and technology by looking at an antique tractor, but the show isn’t the only thing with age and personality. The town of Winthrop has plenty of personality also. Historic downtown Winthrop looks like it was taken straight out of a gun slingers scene in an old west movie. There are plenty unique old west style shops, galleries and even a local Saloon. Other Entertainment The show is hosting a parade in downtown Winthrop led by Winthrop’s Shafer Museum’s 1914 Model T Ford. After that will be the show and shine during which the River town Rambler’s will be the entertainment and in the evening there will be live music by the Horse Crazy Cowgirl band at the Dollar Watch Cowboy Jamboree at the Barn. Does this show have personality? Well that’s not too hard to figure out. Granted not all are into tractors and cowboys, but if you are looking for something different the Winthrop Auto Rallye might be for you. If you are interested in checking out this old west car show, you can find more detail on Washingtoncarshows.com’s 2011 Car Show Calendar.

I've been to a couple of car shows by serendipity and you're right. Each one has a different feel. Thanks for sharing.
You definitely have got my attention! Our family enjoys car shows almost as much as we enjoy flower shows. (Really, they do compare.) Pretty cars, pretty flowers. I enjoyed reading you websites on car shows in various states. Most of the shows we have attended have been in Canada.
